Fresh CurdsPreparation time: 5 minutes * Setting time: 4 to 5 hours * Makes 5 cups. Requirements: 1 litre skim milk 1 tablespoon curds (made the previous day) Method: Warm the milk. Add the curds, beat up the mixture and cover. Keep aside until the curds set (approximately 5 to 6 hours) During the cold climate, place inside a cupboard or closed oven to set Health Information : Curds have all the nutritive value of milk and when eaten with dishes like parathas or rice, they complement the proteins present in these foods to make it a complete protein. They have good proteins, vitamins and calcium and are considered the world over as a nutritious addition to the diet. |
