Gum infections and swelling, also called Gingivitis is a frequent but lesser known complication of uncontrolled Diabetes due to high Blood Glucose levels. Diabetics with gum disease suffer from frequent bleeding of gums, pain while chewing. Some studies have shown that such patients are more prone to Heart Diseases.

 These can be prevented and kept at bay only by Total control over Diabetes.
