Stuffed Tomatoes

A quick impressive dish easy to prepare, low calory, goes well as a side dish or starter with any meal of the day.

 

Ingredients

4 stiff large size tomatoes (400 gms approx.) 

1 onion (chopped)

2-3 green chillies (chopped)

1 tbspn copped coriander

2 tbspn boiled peas

200 gm cottages cheese ( made from toned milk- or low fat variety available in market)

1 tspn chat masala

1/2 tspn garam Masala powder

1 tspn oil

1/2 tspn red chilli powder

salt , pepper to taste

 

Method

Wash the tomatoes, cut the top of the tomato, scoop the pulp from inside. Keep aside.

Add mashed cottage cheese and green coriander to it. fry this mixture in a shallow fry pan for 4-5 mins with little oil (preferably Olive oil to give flavour)

Fill the scooped tomatoes with the prepared mixture , brush with little oil and grill for 8-12 mins.
