Requirements:
25 grams tamarind (imli)
½ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon cumin powder
¼ teaspoon salt
a pinch black salt (sanchal) (optional)
Method:
Wash the tamarind and dates and remove the seeds.
Boil the tamarind, dates, sugar and salt with 1-1/2 teacups of water for 5 minutes.
Blend the mixture in a mixer and strain.
Add the chili powder, cumin powder and black salt and mix well.
