Bhelpuri

low in calories but very filling snack,

Ingredients:

  • 100 gm Puffed Rice ,
  • ¼ cup Boiled Potatoes (peeled and coarsely chopped),
  • 1 medium chopped tomato, 50 gm Tamarind (imli) ,
  • 2 tspns sugarfree ( or add to taste) ,
  • 50 gm Sev,
  • 1 Bunch Mint Leaves, 1/2 tsp Chat Masala,
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves,
  • 3 Green Chilies , 
  • Salt to taste,
  • 1 medium sized lemon.

Method of preparation:

Soak tamarind in a cup of hot water until mix with hand and strain the mixture , add (or to taste) 2 tspns of  low calory sweetener  . Keep aside.
Mix the green chilies and mint leaves. Grind to a smooth paste; Keep aside.

Take the chopped potatoes in a bowl and toss it with chaat masala and salt. Keep aside.

Put the puffed rice in a large bowl and add mint leaves paste, Add chopped onions,  tomato, tamarind water mixture with sweetener, sev, green chilies potatoes squeeze juice of 1 lemon and mix well.

Garnish with coriander leaves. Your bhelpuri is ready to be served. 

( optional- may add, groundnuts, , ginger as well in small quantities )
